You are probably suffering from acid reflux. The acid in your stomach goes up into the esophagus and burning away the delicate lining. Do not da feeling of heartburn all the time, but can cause pain that mimics a heart attack or make it hard to breathe if the acid aspiration in the lungs. Ask your physician to do an endoscopy, where they put a tiny camera down the throat to take pictures, which show if the lining is eaten away. Meanwhile, take some Prilosec or Zantac and start taking it. Can be combined with Axid AR to reduce acid in the stomach, and you should give some relief. Avoid foods high in acid and spices, like tomatoes and peppers. If it was only the pain of the gallbladder, the pain would not only after eating. Intolerance to fatty foods is one of the signs, but the pain is usually more stable.
