What kind of education needed to become an ultrasound technician?
I am pondering a career as an ultrasound technician and I heard there are ways around having to get a degree and can only take some special classes. How many years of schooling'm looking at?
That's quite draining. Ultrasound is the highest paid in medical imaging, because we are more skilled. Doente Ultraousnd need to be a program entitled, the most they are. The program must be recognized by the ARDMS as a PRGRAM accreedited. Attend an accredited program is not put restrictions on your taking the regiarty / reviews board … accredited undergraduate program are often not even considered eligible to even apply to take the Board for up to 2 years after graduation. Only few accredited laboratories in hospitals with ultrasound even hire a coach who is not eligible for registration, accredited laboratories are required for all technical RDMS registered in the department … last at least 2 boards, one in physocs, and one in the specialty) within 365 days of hire. most accredited ultrasound programs starting with about 20 students, and end the half that number, garduating approximatel technologists from 7 to 8 per program cycle.
