Parts of an Ultrasound Machine

An ultrasound machine uses sound waves at high frequency and their feedback to help determine the size, shape and depth an anomaly. It allows various organs in the body for examination in a doctor's office or clinic.
An ultrasound machine has the the following:
- On Display – it is the most recognizable part of any unit. As the operator manipulate the sensor probe (we'll talk about that next), it sends and receives data processed by the CPU and software. These data result in information visually displayed on the screen or display. The clarity of the images depends on the age and the screen resolution.

As the vibrations travel into the patient, they bounce back at different intervals depending on what the bounce-off. The sensor of the probe collects this information and moves along the CPU.
- Central Processing Unit (CPU) – The CPU is a computer that uses software specialized as the interpreter of the sound waves are returned to the sensor probe. It translates the data into a picture or a series of images, allowing doctors and technicians to see the affected body part or parts.
