The techniques of liposuction vary by certain distinctive features. Some of the most technical of age have been replaced by more advanced methods and safer. The volume of solution injected under the skin and the use of devices additional different process mechanics today.

Techniques commonly used in liposuction surgery today include:

  • Tumescent Liposuction
  • Ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL)
  • Assisted liposuction (PAL)
  • Super Wet
  • Wet
  • Dry

It is important to consult a surgeon aesthetic, competent and qualified to discuss each of these techniques in detail. Factors such as medical history, general health, the findings and recommendations your surgeon determine the best procedure for you.

What every technical means?

Tumescent Liposuction – This procedure is considered the safest of all liposuction because of certain unique technical features. They are:

  • The patient need not be under general anesthesia.
  • Fluid loss is minimized.
  • An IV is unnecessary in most cases.
  • The patient experiences little discomfort.
  • An injection containing lidocaine, epinephrine and saline is used.

A large volume of solution injected into areas of fat removed. This solution is a local anesthetic so that the patient is awake during surgery. The adipose tissue becomes swollen and firm and the amount of blood removed during the procedure is significantly reduced.

Ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) – This procedure is performed using large amounts of tumescent fluid with a metal probe or paddle. The device provides ultrasonic energy and heat into subcutaneous fat areas, breaking up the fat so it can be removed. The patient should be under general anesthesia or heavy IV sedation during this procedure.

This method is becoming increasingly scarce due to the risk of severe burns and full thick scars.

Power Assisted Liposuction (PAL) – This procedure moves a cannula (small hollow tube) rapidly in-and-out or a spin. This constant, fast motion separates and removes fat cells in specific body areas. Power is supplied by an electric motor or compressed air. The procedure allows manual movement of the surgeon PAL least a faster procedure. This method uses the technique of anesthesia used in tumescent technology.

Super Wet Technique – Requires general anesthesia. This procedure requires the injection of diluted local anesthetic. It uses less than half the volume with the tumescent technique. It is much blood loss from the tumescent technique, but less with the wet technique.

Wet Technique – This procedure also requires general anesthesia. A large amount of local anesthetic with epinephrine is injected into fatty areas. Excessive blood loss is common with this technique if it is rarely used in liposuction procedures today.

Dry Technique – This procedure is not used for two reasons main. No local anesthetic was injected into the surgical sites. In addition, more blood loss during surgery such that any liposuction procedure.

Plastic surgeons certified by the Board to use the most recent techniques available. During the consultation, ask as many questions as possible on the chosen procedure. Make sure all your questions have been complete answer clear before making any decision.

The ultrasonic motor, invented in 1980, utilizes the piezoelectric effect in the ultrasonic frequency range to provide its motive force, resulting in a motor with unusually good low-speed, high-torque and power-to-weight characteristics. This introduction to the general theory of the ultrasonic motor was written by the motor’s inventor and an expert in conventional electric motors. It details ma…
